TRY SOLOS FOR A LIMITED TIME!

Hello POP1 Community!

Seattle, OCTOBER 26, 2021 — Tomorrow, “Spooky Scary Solos,” the first ever limited-time Solo Mode event launches, supporting 24 players in each match!

It will run through Tuesday, November 2.

We’ve had a lot of fun playing solos at BigBox VR since the mode was unveiled for custom rooms on April 16, 2021. Now solos are coming to public matchmaking and we can’t wait to hear what you think.

ONE is a constantly evolving VR game. We love learning from players and keeping things fresh with new updates.

After a year of learning and launching squad-based game modes, we’ve decided to unleash Solo Mode for a limited time.

WHY IS SOLO MODE AVAILABLE FOR A LIMITED TIME?

POP1 is designed to be a social experience from the ground up. We love it when players make friends with people all over the world and squad up to compete. That's why we built POP1 as a squad-based game.

Because Solo Mode can lead to a less social experience, we're introducing it for a limited time as a test. We want to make sure we retain the community and social foundation of POP1.

As always, our goal is to keep POP1 accessible and fun for everyone. Like any limited-time game mode, we’re eager to get your feedback!

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT:

• Halloween is here! Having to survive on your own can be scary, so it’s a perfect time to test out this limited-time solo game mode. Spooky Scary Solos will support 24 players and run from October 27 at noon PT - November 2.

• Night mode returns! Lurk in the shadows or light up the night. Can you conquer the darkness?

• Proximity chat is available for a limited time, coinciding with the event. Alone in the wild, your enemies can hear you scream... but they can also hear your plea for a truce. How will you use your voice in the arena?

• Some of your favorite streamers are getting in on the action! Tune in tomorrow and find them on their preferred platform -- YouTube or Twitch.
